Most people do not make it to the About page. So here is the honest version: who we are, why we print our own T-shirts, and what "So Called" actually means.
We make the tees we could not find.
So Called Clothing started with one frustration: the good graphic T-shirts were overpriced, and the cheap ones fell apart after a few washes. We cut out the middlemen and built our own - designed in-house, screen-printed in India, and sent directly to you.
Our current T-shirt collection uses 240 GSM heavyweight cotton with artwork designed to hold attention beyond a single trend. Premium where it counts and fairly priced.
Where art meets the street.
We are not interested in placing another small logo on cotton. Our artwork draws from mythology, history, motorsport, anime, pop culture and street art - the subjects people genuinely care about.
Some designs begin with a quiet front mark. Others take over the back. Product galleries show the front, back and available details so you can inspect the artwork before choosing your colour and size.
Why "So Called"?
We got tired of so-called premium that could not prove itself, so-called streetwear that never saw the street, and so-called rules about what people should wear or what it should cost.
We took that doubt and wore it as the name. So Called Clothing is for people who would rather judge a T-shirt by its artwork, weight and construction than by the label attached to it.
The people behind the print.
So Called Clothing was founded by Aakash Bhardwaj and Charandeep Singh. We are a small, hands-on team: part designers, part printers, and part late-night "is this print perfectly centred?" perfectionists.
From artwork and screen printing to packing, the work stays close to the people building the brand. We wear what we make and sell it directly through this store.
